Introducing the " Shorty " Our line of products are the best Keyboard or Laptop support on the market.
The AKP Shorty model has a similar design as our OfficePro/10 but with a smaller top. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for a five minute video. The video shows how simple it is to assemble and highlights the features and ease of use.
Our Shorty top is a new addition to our AKP
line. It was designed for the Dorm room or any smaller workspace
where space
is at a premium. It measures 27 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches deep. Like all our AKP's it has ten inch range of adjustment -- 21 1/2 inches to 31 1/2 inches. The Shorty,
shown below, shows a wireless keyboard and mouse on our Mahogany
top. If you use a wireless kbd/mse then you need true wireless freedom by not being attached to the desk.
The Shorty’s compact, contoured shaped top will fit
in a narrow space and adjust low enough to fit underneath
most desks. The keyboard, shown above, is the average length
of 19 inches leaving an area for extra movement of the mouse.
Even the largest laptops are 17 inches wide so there is plenty of room
to use your mouse with a laptop, too. If you need extra room try our
OfficePro/10, (shown
above to the right) it is only 3 inches wider than our Shorty.
The photo to the left shows the primary position when using the Shorty. Lean back in your chair and pull the top straight in for ultimate comfort and lots of typing. The mouse is right there by your side and the five-star base slides underneath so your feet will rest firmly on the floor as if you were just sitting in the chair.
The photo below shows how the top can be brought over your lap from the side for lots of comfortable surfing.
You can also bring the base in from the right side for keyboard use. Simply turn the top around and position the keyboard over your lap. Now you have another comfortable position. (Shown Below)
AKP Shorty Features:
Ten-inch pneumatic adjustment range - 21 ½ inches to
31 ½ inches. You can use our
extension sleeves for any standing application. The extensions can increase the 10 inch height adjustment range in 5 and 8 inch increments.
the top is 3/4 inch thick and made from a thermal fused
melamine panel. By using this high pressure laminate our
tops are easy to care for while resisting stains, soiling,
scuffing and scratching.
